Congenital breast deformitiesMost common severe congenital breast deformities are: breast size asymmetry (one breast significantly larger), shape asymmetry (e.g. one pendulous breast), nipple-areola disfigurements (e.g. inverted nipples). Big pectoral muscle may also be missing, and the nipples may be missing or displaced. Each defect (because of their diversity) should be treated according to an individual plan. In addition to classical methods of breast reduction, lifting or augmentation, some reconstructive methods may also be applied. Congenital breast deformities, due to their complexity, should be treated only by the most experienced specialists.
