Arm reductionExcessive skin and loose subcutaneous tissue on the upper arms may cause sagging, sometimes referred to as "bat wings". This happens most often after a substantial weight loss, and cannot be improved by diet or physical activity. The incision are made on the inner and under surfaces of the arms, and the excess skin and subcutaneous tissue are removed. The remaining skin is sutured under a slight tension, to provide a slim and smooth surface. This procedure is performed under a general anaesthesia and an overnight stay in the Clinic is advisable.
